The 2011 Mazda 5 has been introduced in the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2 and 3, 2010. Car with a dynamic and elegant design of this will be on sale in autumn 2010. Design language, which finds inspiration in the beauty of flows found in nature.

Mention a 1967 Shelby GT500 and right away the first car that comes to everyone’s mind is the star of Gone in 60 Seconds. No, we are not talking about Nicholas Cage or Angelina Jolie, we are talking about the beautifully sleek and sexy Eleanor. This is a car that needs no introduction, so it’s no wonder that people are wanting to try and recreate the spirit of this very car.
One of those people is RK Motors, who, in collaboration with Pro Touring Super Cars, have developed a 1967 Shelby Supercharged GT500 that is beyond any imagination. For starters, they took the body of a 1967 GT500 and then added a modern engine to create a perfect combination. After that the tuner added the rear cap and integrated spoiler, C-pillar and quarter panel scoops, nose cone with center-mounted lights, and a vented Shelby hood. After adjusting every detail of the body, RK Motors applied a spectacular Acapulco Blue paint combined with Shelby stripes.
The body on this ‘67 was given a rotisserie restoration, which means that it was fixed and smoothed inside and out, top and bottom. Anything that needed attention, got it, and everything was put into better-than-new condition before any paint was sprayed. The idea was a showcase, remember? Gaps were adjusted until they were far better than the factory could ever manage, and the hood was finished to levels that nobody at the Shelby factory could have imagined was possible in 1967. Once everything was straight, that spectacular Acapulco Blue paint was applied using 2-stage urethane. Shelby stripes were sprayed, then buried under the clear, and Shelby GT500 callouts were applied to the rockers. Additional Shelby details include the rear cap and integrated spoiler, C-pillar and quarter panel scoops, nose cone with center-mounted lights, and that vented Shelby hood (and if you’ve seen originals, you know how wavy they really were).
Without looking under the hood, you could be forgiven for thinking this was a real Shelby.But the real treat is the supercharged 2004 Cobra motor under the hood. If you’ve been following Ford performance for the past 15 years or so, you know that these 4-cam motors can make BIG power from their relatively modest displacement. With forced induction, they breathe better than a big block and put down some astounding numbers while maintaining incredible civility. And if you’ve ever heard one at full song, you know what I’m talking about?they have just about the sweetest exhaust note this side of a Ferrari V8. The motor in this ‘67 is a built 2004 Cobra piece that features a custom induction system to fit it into the ’67’s engine bay. There’s a smaller pulley on the supercharger to up the boost (these engines with their forged bottom ends can easily handle a lot more boost than the factory permits), and a custom Aeromotive fuel system to ensure that it is adequately fed at all speeds.
A custom heat exchanger and reservoir were crafted to allow it all to fit under the Shelby hood, and up front, a massive aluminum radiator keeps it cool no matter how hard you run. A set of custom-built headers handle the exhaust and if anything, they magnify that sweet engine note. The engine was beautifully dressed with custom painted cam covers that look a lot like Boss 429 or SOHC 427 pieces?perfect for the 1967 body. It even features cool “Powered by Ford” logos for a distinctly Shelby touch. With a custom ECM programmed by the experts at Speed, Inc., it starts instantly, idles perfectly even when it’s cold, and pulls like a freight train. There are no flat spots in the power curve, and I know this because there’s a dyno sheet that comes with the car showing that it just keeps climbing and climbing to a peak of 444 horsepower and 495 pounds of torque at the wheels?impressive!

Before each drag race (also known as a pass), each driver is allowed to perform a burnout (which heats the tires and lays rubber down at the beginning of the track, improving traction). Each driver then lines up (or stages) at the starting line. Informal drag races can be started by any means, including flag-waving and arm-dropping. These methods are more likely to be seen in an un-professional setting, being most popular with illegal street racing. Professional sanctioned drag races are started electronically, with a series of vertically-arranged lights known as a "Christmas tree" or just "tree". A "Christmas tree" consists of a column of lights for each driver/lane. In each column, the top two lights are small amber lights connected to light beams on the track, which when broken by the vehicle's front tires indicate that the driver has pre-staged (approximately 7 inches (180 mm) from the starting line) and then staged (at the starting line).

Gambaran umum
Setarter jenis ini banyak di pakai pada mobil ,hanya pinion dan overrunning clutch yang di geser oleh tuas /drive lever ( di gerakkan oleh solenoid ) sehingga bertaut degan ring gear.

YOKE ASSY
Yoke assy terdiri dari ; yoke core , pole core , field coil dan brush ( + ). field coil di pasang pada setiap kutub ( pole ) dengan menggunakan lempeng kabel tembaga dan di isolasi satu dengan yang lainnya serta terhadap core yang di hubungkan secara seri dengan gulungan armature melalui brush.
pole core berfungsi untuk menopang field coil dan berfungsi untuk memperkuat medan . magnet yang di hasilkan oleh field coil . pada umumnya setiap motor starter memiliki 4 buah pole core yang di ikat pada yoke core ( body starter ) dengan skrup.

ALMATURE ASSY
Almature assy terdiri dari ; almature shaft , helical spline , armature winding ,almature core dan komutator. Secara umum almature berfungsi untuk merubah energi listrik menjadi energy mekanik ( gerak putar )
Almature core merupakan sebatang besi yang berbentuk sylinder bercelah yang berfungsi sebagai inti besi dari coil
almature .
Almature shaft bertumpu pada 2 atau 3 bearing brush.
Helical splines di buat pada poros untuk memungkinkan overrunning . clutch bergeser secara halus saat bertaut dengan ring gear.
Loops / gulungan armature terletak pada core dan di isolasi satu dengan yang lainnya dan ujung ujung nya di hubungkan ke segment –segment comulator.

OVERRUNING CLUTCH ASSY
OC. di gunakan untuk meneruskan torsi putaran armature ke-ring gear mesin.
OC. Memungkinkan pinion berputar lebih cepat dari almature setelah mesin di start. Mencegah kerusakan armature akibat gaya senti fugal pada kecepatan tinggi.
Overruning clutch terdiri dari ;
Driving member yang di hubungkan dengan spline tube
Driven member yang di hubungkan pada pinion.
Clutch splings
Cylindrical rollers.

Ada 5 atau lebih roller antara driven dan driving member , rollers ini terletak pada lubang atau celah. Permukaan luar dari celah ini sedikit miring dan tirus (tapered ) setiap rollers di dorong kea rah bagian tirus dari celahnya oleh sebuah coil spring kecil.

Bila auter barrel berputar kea rah jarum jam maka roller akan menekan dan menyatukan antara outer barrel dan inner barrel sehingga outer barrel dan inner barrel berputar dalam arah yang sama . keadaan demikian di sebabkan karena roller di tekan oleh spring dan putaran outer barrel.

Apabila mesin telah hidup maka pinion akan berputar lebih cepat dari outer barrel. Akibatnya akan memindahkan roller dari posisi semula hingga memungkinkan outer berputar bebas dari inner barrel. Dengan demikian putaran pinion akibat putaran ring gear tidak di teruskan ke armature .

MAGNETIC SWITCH ASSY
Magnetic switch terdiri dari ;Selenoid , Inti magnet , plunger . ( inti gerak ). Return spring , kontak dan terminal . Selenoid terdiri dari 2 coil yaitu ; pull in coil ( penarik ) dan hold in coil ( penahan ) yang berfungsi untuk menggerakkan pinion sehingga bertaut dengan engine ring gear dengan cara menarik dan menahan plunger.

Saat starting switch ( SS ) di tutup ( on ) . pada saat starting switch di tutup seperti pada gambar aliran arus yang terjadi adalah ;

Gaya magnetic yang di hasilkan oleh pull in dan hold in coil akan menarik plunger sehingga tuas penggerak akan menggeser pinion maju kea rah ring gear.

Saat main switch tertutup.
Pada saat main switch tertutup pull in coil di non aktifkan dengan mem bypass MT ke C . Arus listrik mengalir se arah dengan panah dan starter memulai memutar engine.
Pada saat ini plunger di pertahankan pada posisi tertarik oleh gaya magnet dari hold in coil.Saat starting switch di lepas.
Pada saat SS terbuka da MS tertutup arus mengalir dengan arah yang di tunjukkan anak panah ,

Di bandingkan dengan gambar 3-10 arus sekarang mengalir melalui PC dan HC dengan arah yang sama (kemagnitannya saling melemahkan ) sehingga menyebabkan gaya magnetic pada HC berkurang, kemudian MS terbuka dan plunger kembali ke posisi semula dengan bantuan return spring.
DRIVE END FRAME
Satu bagian dari drive end frame menutup overrunning clutch dan drive lever yang berfungsi memberikan perlindungan dari debu dan udara korosif. Oilless bush dipress ( rapat ) pada drive end frame sehingga memberikan interval service yang lama.

REAR END FRAME
Oilless bush juga di pres fit ( rapat ) pada rear end frame. Grease di tambahkan pada cover belakang untuk melumasi brake spring.

DRIVE LEVER
Drive lever ( tempat di pasangnya drive spring ) di hubungkan dengan sambungan penggeser ( shifh linkage ) untuk menghasilkan pertautan pinion dengan ring gear yang halus dan efisien (lihat gbr .3-14 A)
Saat starting switch di tutup gbr 3-14 ( B ) plunger akan tertarik ,sehingga secara bersamaan menggeser pinion maju kea rah ring gear. Pada kondisi ini walaupun pinion tidak masuk tepat ke ring gear plunger akan tetap tertarik sampai main contact tertutup. Gbr.3-14 (C). Sat main contact tertutup armature mulai berputar . Akibatnya pinion masuk ke ring gear . Jadi drive lever dan spring menghasilkan gerakan masuk ( pertautan ) yang halus dan efisien.

Armature short circuit test
Tempatkan armature pada growler tester dan pegang gergaji dengan mata gergaji menghadap armature dan putar armature perlahan lahan ,bila ada hubungan singkat maka gergaji bergetar dan tertarik ke armature .armature yang terhubung singkat harus diganti atau di perbaiki.
Pemeriksaan permukaan komutator
Periksa permukaan komutator yang sering menyebabkan hubungan terbuka dan perbaiki dengan meratakan memakai amplas halus #400 atau sejenisnya jika di pandang perlu.
Test run out komutator
Periksa seperti gbr.3-30 batas penggantian ;>04mm. bila mencapai batas limit, perbaiki atau ganti
Test pentahanan gulungan armature
Dengan menggunakan tester ,hubungkan satu probe ke komutator dan probe yang lain ke armature core kondisi ini harus tidak ada hubungan, jika ada hubungan berarti gulungan armature tertanahkan berhubungan dengan massa sehingga harus dig anti.
Pengukuran dia meter luar komutator
Periksa kedalaman segment mica batas penggantian ;< 0,2 mm.
Kerenggangan antara bush dan armature shaft
Front end bush dan armature shaft
Rear end bush dan armature shaft
Batas pengukuran ; (A – B ) > 0,2 mm.
Penggantian bush
Catatan ; Saat ganti bush ,kerenggangan antara shaft dan bush sekitar 0,05 mm, dan beri grease sesui anjuran.

Dalam melaksanakan test kerja dari magnetic switch ,harus melepas field conector dan memberikan tegangan yang sesuai.
Untuk menjaga agar terhindar dari kemungkinan terbakar maka waktu pengetesan berkisar 3 – 5 detik

Pinion harus bergerak keluar.
HOL –IN TEST
Dengan kondisi yang sama pada pull –in test , lepas C –terminal
Pinion akan tetap dalam kondisi bergerak keluar.

Pinion harus kemali ke posisi awal.
Perakitan ulang motor starter
PELUMASAN
Sebelum di rakit ulang , lumasi dengan pelumas yang sesuai pada bagian –bagian seperti berikut ( warna hitam ) ;

Pemasangan SNAP RING
Setelah memasang stop collar yang baru pada armature shaft.masukkan snap ring ke dalam armature shaft . pastikan snap ring terpasang dengan benar.
Ketoklah pinion untuk menyisipkan stop collar di atas/luar snap ring.
Dengan penekan ,tepatkan stop collar dengan menekannya pada dua atau tiga tempat.

( Type Heavy duty ) -------Saat memasang brush ,belitkan kawat penghantarnya.

Test unjuk kerja
Test berikut ini harus di lakukan setelah menyetel ( memasang ) kembali motor starter. jika peralatan yang di perlukan tidak tersedia . cukup di lakukan test tanpa beban . ( no-load-test )
No load test
Jepit starter dengan ragum dan gunakan battery dan ammeter yang bagus. Hubungkan starter seperti rangkaian gbr 3-50. Starter akan bergerak halus dan segera berputar cepat setelah pinion meloncat maju dan ammeter menunjukkan harga kurang dari arus yang di spesifikasikan .

Baca nilai pada amper meter dan volt meter saat starter di beri beban . amper meter selalu menunjukkan nilai di bawah nilai arus yang di spesifikasikan.

Lock torque test
Baca nilai torsi meter dan amper meter saat tachometer pada harga (0 ) rpm, setelah pemberian beban .torsi meter harus menunjukkan nilai di atas spesifikasi dan ammeter kurang dari arus spesifikasi.

Arus yang besar tidak mengalir ke field coil karena main terminal tidak tertutup .lilitan shunt di pararel dengan lilitan medan sehingga putaran armature pelan ( arus yang mengalir ke armature kecil ).sehingga saat switch starter tertutup lompatan plunger dan putaran starter pelan . Starter type heavy duty tidak punya drive lever spring .pinion akan memutar mesin setelah benar benar masuk ke ring gear
